Hello! I'm Annie, a 14 year old registered Missouri Fox Trotter, living large at Golden Gate Farms . I'm known as Queen Bee around here because I'm respectful to every horse as long as they're respectful to me. If they have attitude, we have a problem.
The day Mom brought me home in April of 2022 was a long one. After a four hour drive we finally arrived and I was tired and irritable. I could tell Mom was a little nervous backing me out of the trailer. Shenanigans ensued immediately. I escaped my pasture, caught my shoe on the electric fence and threw shade at every horse. Then I met Sako, my buddy for life and everything calmed down.
I know I'm Mom's favorite. I enjoy our trail rides and love my baths in front of the fan. The cow herding lesson was my favorite. Mom didn't think I would enjoy it but she was wrong. I was a natural! Arena time isn't my favorite but I'm always willing to do what's asked. I'm also pretty flexible so working the barrel pattern isn't too bad.
I have ulcers that make me act a little bratty sometimes. Mom knows they're acting up when I start pinning my ears and acting grumpy about work. She gives me medicine which always helps and then I'm back to normal. I wish I could be out on delicious green grass like my best buddy Sako but Mom says it will make me fat and crabby so I have to stick to hay on a dry lot.
Mom is offering an onsite 1/2 lease on me for the right rider. I love trail riding, working with cows and obstacle courses. If you're an intermediate to advanced rider, partial to gaited horses and looking for a gorgeous girl with a big personality as a riding partner, I'd love to hear from you!
